About the Role

Automotive Equipment Maintenance Technician Under general supervision, maintains and repairs a variety of automotive

equipment, primarily school buses, automobiles, and related mechanical equipment. Performs inspections, repairs and

preventive maintenance on Clayton County Public School buses. Supports Maintenance Supervisor by providing leadership

and job training in the daily operations of the Maintenance shop. This position reports to the Fleet Maintenance

Supervisor. Performs complex mechanical work in the maintenance and repair of school buses and other automotive

equipment. Diagnoses potential vehicle malfunctions (e.g. using computer diagnostic equipment, etc.) for needed repairs
