About the Role
School Bus Driver Training Program Primary function: Savannah Chatham County Public Schools Transportation Department's
training program is for individuals who apply for training to attend classroom instruction on county and state laws,
student management, loading and unloading students, radio procedures, emergency and accident procedures, special
education laws and overview, expressway driving and a review of the driver handbook to be eligible to acquire a CDL so
he/she may be hired as a school bus driver. Reports to: Director, Special Needs Services, Training and Safety Salary
